Solís is a longtime conservation advocate in Chile. He has worked to protect the nation’s most intact natural areas, helping to create both the Valdivian Coastal Reserve and the Alerce Costero National Park. He has worked in the public and private sectors, and collaborated with Chilean legislators to pass the Derecho Real de Conservación bill.
