Protecting the World’s Largest Tuna Fishing Grounds

The world's largest tuna fishing grounds are found in the western and central Pacific Ocean, which is also home to a wealth of other marine life. Unfortunately, this vast region continues to be fished unsustainably—despite strong scientific and management advice to the contrary—while fishing capacity continues to grow.

This collection highlight's The Pew Charitable Trusts’ priorities for creating sustainable fisheries, protecting shark populations, and combating illegal fishing.
