Research
My research focuses on the structural biology of proteins. I coordinate a research group that employs biophysical methods to study protein structure and stability. Our team uses a variety of techniques for protein characterization, including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), X-ray crystallography, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, dynamic light scattering, surface plasmon resonance, chromatography, and electrophoresis. We aim to use structural data to understand the activity and stability of proteins, with applications in developing biopharmaceuticals, molecular diagnostics, and enzymes for bioprocessing.
Additionally, we leverage our expertise to design clones, establish scalable production protocols—primarily in Escherichia coli—and optimize purification processes.
