Research
Our present programs span: (a) discovering new biological pathways pertinent in human autoimmune and inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, asthma, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis, age-related macular degeneration and Type 1 diabetes mellitus (b) uncovering new pathways to safely augment the immune system to combat chronic viral diseases and cancer, (c) harnessing antibody technologies to develop biotherapeutics to target infectious diseases, (d) understanding the heterogeneity of human disease and (e) defining predictive biomarkers associated with clinical response as well as adverse events.
