Larry Eichel
PROFILE
Larry Eichel is a senior adviser to Pew’s Philadelphia research and policy initiative. The project seeks to provide timely, impartial research and analysis on key issues facing Philadelphia for the benefit of the city’s citizens and leaders.
Before joining Pew, Eichel was a reporter and editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where he covered issues ranging from urban affairs to national politics. As a foreign correspondent, national correspondent, and op-ed columnist, he wrote in-depth series on Philadelphia’s tax burden and on the transformation of public housing in the city.
Eichel has also served as an adjunct professor at Temple University. Eichel holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University.
