Angela Oh
PROFILE
Angela Oh leads research for Pew’s state fiscal health project. She and her team focus on efforts to address persistent imbalances, severe downturns, and emerging fiscal risks. Oh also directs the team’s technical assistance engagements in areas such as revenue and expenditure forecasting, and budget stress testing to help states advance data-driven policies and practices that build long-term fiscal resilience.
Before joining Pew, Oh was a senior managing economist with the University of Utah’s Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, specializing in public finance and tax policy. She also served as the budget manager for the Utah Department of Transportation, where she performed cost-benefit analyses and ran gas tax scenarios to determine statewide impacts. Additionally, Oh worked as a senior statistician for the Utah Legislature, analyzing and presenting budget recommendations to legislative committees and estimating fiscal notes on bills.
Oh holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in international studies and a master’s in economics from the University of Utah.
