Since 1991, The Pew Charitable Trusts has been privileged to support Philadelphia-area nonprofit organizations serving some of the most at-risk members of our community: disadvantaged children, youth, and their families; vulnerable adults; and the frail elderly.
These agencies have assisted thousands upon thousands of Philadelphians over the years, including Korinne Dennis, whose participation in a local mentoring program for low-income students helped her become the first in her family to graduate from college. Inspired to give back, Korinne is now a full-time employee of the organization that helped her, serving as a mentor and friend to other young students from Philadelphia’s public schools.
As Pew marks 25 years of support for health and social service agencies in the Philadelphia region, we want to thank these capable and committed nonprofits and acknowledge all of the individuals working each and every day to make a difference in the lives of their fellow citizens.
