Sandra Shea

PROFILE

Sandra Shea shapes strategy for the Philadelphia research and policy team’s work and serves as the primary editor for all of the project’s research products.

Before joining Pew, Shea was managing editor of opinion at The Philadelphia Inquirer, directing the editorial board and opinion staff in its coverage of, and positions on, issues important to the city and region. Her editorials for the Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News have covered a range of issues, including city and state policy and legislation, tax reform, poverty, public space, and education. 

Shea holds a master of fine arts degree in writing from Bennington College.
