On Feb. 10 and 11, The Pew Charitable Trusts, the Luc Hoffmann Institute, the California Ocean Science Trust, and the Science and Resilience Institute at Jamaica Bay sponsored a workshop in Washington on managing interactions among science, society, and policy. The event included experts from 49 organizations around the world, including grant-makers, nongovernmental organizations, governments, and academic institutions. These proceedings summarize the discussions held on improving the benefit and value of investments in environmental research.
