International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas
ICCAT is a regional fisheries management organization with 49 member countries and four additional cooperating parties.
ICCAT is responsible for managing the fisheries for about 30 species of highly migratory fish in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea and for species brought in as bycatch in those fisheries. ICCAT determines the quotas for the annual catch of eastern and western Atlantic bluefin tuna.
