Online voter registration debuted in Georgia on March 31, 2014, and during the three weeks after its rollout, nearly 12,000 residents used the system.
As of April 21, 6,884 voters had registered online and another 5,086 had updated their information. April 21 was the registration deadline for the May 20 primary election.
The online voter registration page can be found on the secretary of state’s website. The state also recently released a mobile app, available for Apple and Android devices, which will let voters find their sample ballot and early voting and Election Day polling locations, check their voter registration status, and track the status of their absentee ballot.
