WASHINGTON—The Pew Charitable Trusts today announced the appointment of Ralph Leslie as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Nov. 29. Leslie will manage finance, information technology, workplace services, and human resources. In January 2022, he will also assume the role of chief financial officer.
Leslie joins Pew from Northwestern University, where he was the chief financial officer and associate dean of finance and business operations for the Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. He previously served as chief financial officer and treasurer of the Obama Foundation.

Leslie brings more than 30 years of experience to Pew; he has previously held senior financial roles at Navy Pier Inc., the Ounce of Prevention Fund, PepsiCo, and Cargill Inc.
Leslie received a master’s in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Chicago State University.
