Current Contract and Grant Opportunities

Whether it is improving policy, tracking trends, or bettering life in our hometown of Philadelphia, The Pew Charitable Trusts seeks tangible results through a rigorous, analytical, and evidence-based approach. The foundation of our work is careful planning; a consistent focus on facts, science, and data; strong partnerships; and a commitment to innovation and measurable results. To achieve our goals, we often seek grantmaking opportunities or look to hire a variety of organizations with expertise in one of our fields of interest.

Below are our current opportunities:

Long-Term Impacts of U.S. State and Local Courts on Individuals and Communities

Type: Request for Proposal (RFP)

The Pew Charitable Trusts is seeking proposals for actionable, public-facing research on the impact of U.S. state and local court operations on the health, economic, housing, and/or family stability of individuals and communities. This research should entail looking at one or more of the following:

  • Policies and practices that affect multiple dockets or courts across criminal, civil, and family courts (court assessments, data sharing, failure to appear, etc.).
  • Policies and practices that affect certain populations, such as people with disabilities; people of color; rural communities; kinship families (in which a child is primarily cared for by a relative/extended family); and emerging adults (people ages 18-25).
  • Policies and practices about a specific case type (ideally the findings, or a novel approach to studying the issue, would transmit to other types of cases).
