Meet the Team

Donna Dang, Ph.D. Principal Associate

Donna Dang, Ph.D., provides programmatic support to Pew’s biomedical programs and works with the communications team to promote research generated by Pew scholars and fellows. Before joining Pew, Dang completed her postdoctoral training in breast cancer and prostate cancer at Vanderbilt University and at the University of California, San Francisco. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from North Carolina State University and a doctorate in cellular and molecular medicine from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she studied the transport of calcium within breast cancer cells.

Sarah Kelly Associate

Sarah Kelly provides operations support for Pew’s biomedical programs, including grants administration and scientific conferences, with a focus on event logistics and data management. Before joining Pew, she worked at the University of Pennsylvania’s Van Pelt Library, and managed several restaurants in Philadelphia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in printmaking and literature from Bennington College.

Hannah Romm Associate

Hannah Romm, an associate with Pew’s biomedical programs, provides support throughout the annual application cycles that lead to awarding multiyear grants, and works with Pew’s conference and event services on program events. Before joining the biomedical programs, Romm held a temporary position with Pew’s board services team, where she provided administrative support. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and communication from Rutgers University.

Sara Strickland Senior Officer

Sara Strickland manages operations and events for the Pew biomedical programs’ grant portfolio. She works with internal and external partners to improve program processes and identify strategies to support applicants and grantees. Before joining Pew, she worked in research development and program administration at the University of Pennsylvania as well as at Drexel University. Strickland holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
