Susan Banta
PROFILE
Susan Banta directs a team of researchers analyzing infrastructure and public pensions, focused on helping states and localities ensure that their retirement plans are affordable and sustainable and that needed infrastructure investments are identified and met.
Before joining Pew, Banta spent more than 20 years advising state and international governments on public finance, tax policy, and other revenue issues, and she served as a resident adviser to the ministries of finance in Russia and Egypt.
Banta holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Miami University.
